Ich bin seit 1981 Universitätsprofessor. Obwohl mittlerweile emeritiert, beschäftige ich mich weiterhin mit Forschung im Bereich Kognition und Lernen. Meine Website dazu lautet https://www.metakognition-und-lernen.de.

Seit etwa vierzig Jahren bin ich auch als Fotograf tätig. Bis 2010 arbeitete ich ausschließlich in Schwarz-Weiß, entwickelte die Filme in meinem eigenen Labor und fertigte Abzüge an. Ab 2010 erfolgte zunächst zögerlich, dann aber mit zunehmender Überzeugung die Umstellung auf digitale Fotografie.

Meine Arbeit konzentriert sich in erster Linie auf Architektur, Lost Places, Street, Nachtszenen und Makrofotografie, umfasst aber auch einige Porträts und Foodphotography.

Im Laufe der Jahre habe ich mir durch die Teilnahme an Kurzstudiengängen an renommierten Fotoschulen wie der Europäischen Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Trier, der École Normale Supérieure de Photographie (ENSP) in Arles und in New York der School of Visual Art (SVA) und dem International Center of Photography (ICP) immer wieder neue Inspiration geholt.

Meine Fotos wurden in folgenden Ausstellungen gezeigt:

I have been a university professor since 1981. Now emeritus, I am still involved in research on cognition and learning. My website is https://www.metakognition-und-lernen.de.

I have also been a photographer for about forty years. Until 2010, I worked exclusively in black and white, developing the film in my own lab and making prints. From 2010 onwards, I made the transition to digital photography, initially hesitantly, but then with increasing conviction.

My work has focused primarily on architecture, lost places, street life, night scenes, and macro photography, but has also included some portraits and images of food.

Over the years, I have repeatedly gained fresh inspiration by participating in short-time studies at renowned schools of photography such as the European Academy of Fine Arts in Trier, the École Normale Supérieure de Photographie (ENSP) in Arles and, in New York, the School of Visual Art (SVA) and the International Center of Photography (ICP).

My photos have been shown in the following exhibitions:
